Elderly Couple Die After Road Accident

Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a road accident left an elderly couple dead.

Seventy-six year-old Cyril Taylor and his wife Beryl (73) had just got off a West Midlands bus in Water Orton, North Warwickshire at 7.30pm on Friday when they were hit by a car.

Police believe they were trying to cross New Road at the time of the accident.

The driver of the Vauxhall Cavalier car, Christopher Giles (29) of Water Orton stopped at the scene of the accident but the pensioners died from their injuries.

The couple lived at Quinton Road West, Birmingham.

A full accident investigation was carried out at the scene but anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to contact PC Woolaston of the traffic department on 01926 415000.
