Police Hunt Nuneaton Arsonists

Police are hunting arsonists after a block of flats was set on fire in Nuneaton early this morning.

The alarm was raised at the building in Attleborough Road by a resident after he woke up to find the building filled with smoke.

The man, aged 22, managed to get out of the building and raise the alarm.

Firefighters were called and put the fire out. Two flats were damaged in the blaze.

Police investigators discovered that several fires were started in the flats, and are treating the incident as arson.

The man who raised the alarm was taken to George Eliot hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation.

Any witnesses should call Nuneaton CID on 01926 415000 quoting incident number 59.
