[03 AUG 00] CRIMES, FIRES & ACCIDENTS
Fake Internet Goods Seized In Coventry

A man could be facing criminal charges after fake goods being sold over the internet were found at a house in Coventry.

Police teamed up with officers from the Federation Against Copyright Theft for the raid, which took place yesterday morning.

They executed a warrant at a house in the Stoke area of the city.

Several thousands of pounds of goods were found including DVDs, computer games and videos.

A polices spokeswoman said the items were not authorised and did not have a trademark or certification.

Two men were arrested at the house. One was later released without charge, the other will be dealt with by FACT.
