Coventry Man In Beachy Head Mystery

A body of a Coventry man  has been found at the bottom of the notorious Beachy Head cliffs in Sussex.

Beachy HeadIt was discovered on Thursday evening following a freak accident when another man died.

He was seen taking photographs at the top of the cliffs when a sudden strong gust of wind sent him across the edge.

A helicopter crew were called in to retrieve the photographer's body. He is believed to come from Kent.

As the helicopter pulled away to take the man to hospital they spotted another body. The second dead man was retrieved.

He was later identified as Robert Courthald, aged 44, from Mantilla Drive, Styvechale.

A police spokesman said that the cause of death could not be speculated on as a coroner's inquest is to be held.
