Teenager Robbed After He Offered Cash

A teenager gave money to two strangers who then attacked him and stole his mobile phone last night.

The 15-year-old from Tile Hill was walking along Queen Victoria Road about 10.45pm when two men asked him for cash, and then robbed him.

A West Midlands police spokeswoman said:

“He was approached by two offenders who asked to borrow £1. The lad handed over the money.

“And then the first offender searched the boy’s pocket and stole a mobile phone.

“The second offender then demanded the lad hand over his neck chain. The lad refused and was and punched in the face and had bruises to his left eye and nose.”

The first robber was described as: black, 5ft 7in, of slim build with black cropped hair and wearing a gold hoped earring. He had a white t-shirt, dark-coloured trousers, white trainers and cream baseball cap with red and white stripes.

His accomplice was white, 5ft 3in, aged about 17, with short curly black hair, wearing a blue Puffa jacket, and had red white and blue trainers.

They stole a Siemens C-25 mobile phone. Anyone with information should call Little Park Street police station on 024 7653 9010.
