Gun Threat To Rugby Pub Manageress

Two men threatened a pub manageress with guns in an armed raid at the Black Horse in Rugby on Monday morning.

The woman and a cleaner were thought to be the only people in the pub on Main Street, Bilton, at the time of the raid, around 9am.

A police spokeswoman said:

“Two men were found to be on the premises. They ordered the manageress, a 24-year-old female, to open the safe. Both men were believed to be carrying handguns.

“They took a quantity of cash. No one was hurt and no guns were discharged.

“The woman was extremely shocked by this ordeal.”

No descriptions of the offenders, or the amount of money stolen, are being released.

Anyone with information should call Rugby CID on 01788 541111.
