Knifeman Holds Up Coventry Store

A man armed with a knife forced a cashier at a Coventry store to hand over money from the till.

He walked into the Charter Stores in Charter Avenue, Canley, at 6.30am on Sunday and produced a 100inch blade, believed to be a kitchen knife.

The male cashier, who was unhurt but shaken by the incident, handed over £80 from the till and the man fled.

He is white, in his early 20s, 6ft 1in and slim build, with large eyes, a prominent nose. He wore dirty white trainers and a red and white cream tracksuit top with the hood pulled up.
