Body Found In River
Police
have called off a hunt for a missing person after a body was
discovered in the River Avon.
Gordon
Richard Garner, aged 73, went missing from his home in Millers
Close, Welford on New Year’s Day.
A
hunt was launched for him by police concerned for his safety.
A
body was discovered in the Avon at Welford close to the point
where Mr Garner disappeared.
The
body has been formally identified as Mr Garner. Police say they
are not treating the death as suspicious, and the coroner has been
informed.
