Teenager Raped In Coventry City Centre 

A 15-year-old girl was raped near a Coventry nightclub while her attacker’s friends stood by and watched.

The alleged incident took place on Friday night between 10.45pm and 11.30pm near the Coventry SkyDome.

The victim had been in Zest pub in the Burges with her sister when they got talking to a group of four males.

The left he pub to go to the SkyDome together, and walked along Corporation Street.

The victim’s sister left the group, and the 15-year-old continued into Spon Street with the men.

They walked down passageway between the Shakespeare pub and Bastille’s restaurant when one of the men bundled her into a courtyard and raped her.

Another of the group physically assaulted her, causing slight injuries. the group then left her and continued to the SkyDome.

The man alleged to have carried out the rape is black, 6ft or 6ft 1in and medium to stocky build. He is aged around 21 and had a bald or shaved head.

He was clean-shaven and had bushy eyebrows. He wore a dark coloured shirt, dark trousers and dark shoes. He spoke with a deep voice in a local accent.

The man who assaulted the girl is white, aged about 18 or 19, with short brown hair gelled and brushed forward.

He has a spotty complexion and wore a long-sleeved jumper that was cream on the top and the arms and navy blue on the bottom. He wore dark trousers and has dark brown eyes.

The other two, who are believed to have stood nearby while that attack took place, are 17 or 18, white, and both had short brown hair brushed forward. One had a light coloured top, and one had a dark.

The victim is 5ft 10ins, slim with long brown hair and was wearing a black leather jacket, black trousers and a red top.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the group as they made their way down Corporation Street or who saw the men alone heading towards the SkyDome to come forward.
