[25 JAN 01] CRIMES, FIRES & ACCIDENTS
Teenager Kicked Unconscious In Street Attack

An 18-year-old was punched and kicked unconscious by two robbers in a Coventry street.

The victim only came round in the ambulance following the assault last Friday between 11.35 and 11.55pm.

He left the Dolphin pub in Sheriff Avenue, Canley, and started to walk home. Two men who had been sitting near him in the pub followed.

The friends made their way down Prior Deram Walk and into Gerard Avenue, when they parted.

The victim was then set upon as both attackers rained punches and kicks on him.

As the victim fell unconscious they stole a £20 note, a provisional driving licence and a Visa card.

One attacker is aged 18 or 19, medium build and 5ft 5ins. He had cropped black hair, a blue dark bomber jacket and black lace-up boots.

The second attacker is aged 20 or 21, 6ft and had dark brown hair, which was short at the sides but longer at the top. The hair was slightly curly and was gelled and brushed forward. He wore blue jeans and white Reebok Classic trainers.

Witnesses should call detectives on 024 7653 9040.
