[05 FEB 01] CRIMES, FIRES & ACCIDENTS
Blade Threat In Burger Hold-Up

A fast food restaurant manger was threatened with a knife before crooks stole money from his safe.

The attackers walked into the manager’s office in Burger King at the Corley Services on the M6 northbound between 10.15pm and 10.30pm on Friday.

One of the culprits produced a five-inch knife and threatened the man, demanding money.

They took a “substantial amount” from the safe and fled. The money was put in a black Head holdall.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the attackers leave the area to come forward.

They are both black and in their mid-20s, and slim build, with short black hair and dark clothing. One was wearing white trainers.

Witnesses should contact Bedworth CID on 024 7664 3111.
