Boy's Skull Fractured In Gang Attack

A Coventry boy aged 15 suffered a fractured skull when he was set on by a gang as he walked down a city street after visiting a nightclub.

Police are trying to trace anyone who saw the attack, which took place between 2.30am and 3.30am on Sunday in Stoney Stanton Road.

The lad had been to Fatty Arbuckles nightclub and was walking down the street towards the city centre with two older girls when the suspected unprovoked attack was launched. He was hit on the head with a brick.

A gang of about 15 to 20 youths were gathered in the street, and some members of that group are thought to have attacked the youngster.

He is said to be in a  “comfortable” position in Coventry and Warwickshire hospital after being taken there for treatment.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the victim to come forward so they can try and piece together what happened.

He is 6ft, mixed raced, medium build with short cropped black hair and a slight moustache.

He wore a brown bomber jacket, a grey shirt, dark blue jeans and black shirt.

Witnesses should contact officers on 024 7653 9010.
