Man Stabbed In Pub Fight

A man suffered stab wounds in his leg during a fight in a pub yesterday.

Police were called to the fracas at the Benjamin Satchwell in the Parade, Leamington, at 7.15pm following reports of two men having a fight.

A 42-yearold Warwick man was taken to Warwick Hospital and then transferred to Walsgrave Hospital after suffering stab wounds to his thigh.

His condition was said to not be life-threatening, but he was de-arrested by police to allow him to get more treatment.

The other man involved, who is aged 38 from Leamington, was treated for a facial injury at Warwick Hospital before being taken into police custody to help with inquiries.

Any witnesses who were in the pub at the time and have not yet given their details to police should contact DC Colin Walker at Leamington police station on 01926 415000.
