Flick Knife Robber Strikes At City Store

A robber armed with a flick knife stole a gold bracelet worth several hundred pounds was stolen from a jewellers in Coventry city centre. 

The robbery happened at Aubergines in Smithford Way at about 3.30pm yesterday.

The offender went into the shop and asked to see the bracelet. After being told the price of the item he produced a flick knife and threatened the female member of staff.

He then ran off with the bracelet and was chased by a male passer-by.

Police are particularly interested in talking to this man because he may have vital information. The member of staff was not injured in the incident.

The offender is described as a white man, aged between 25 and 30 years old, stocky build, 5ft 4ins to 5ft 6ins, with short dark hair, pale skin and black rectangular rimmed glasses.

He wore a blue denim style jacket, dark jeans and dark trainers. Anyone with information is asked to call police on 024 7653 9007.
