Security Guard Threatened With Gun

Raiders armed with a gun stole a cash box containing thousands of pounds from a security guard as he left a Coventry store yesterday.

The incident took place at 3.35pm on Monday outside Stage 2, a shop in Austin Drive, Bell Green.

Two offenders approached a Securicor officer as he left the store. One of them threatened the man with a handgun, before stealing the cash box and escaping in a stolen Volvo vehicle being driven by a third offender.

The first two offenders are black or mixed-race and had scarves and hats covering their faces. There is no description of the car driver.

The offenders stole a cash box containing several thousand pounds.
