Armed Robbery At Petrol Station

Police in Coventry are appealing for witnesses after an armed robbery at a service station in the city during the morning of Saturday 29 September.

The incident happened at 11.35am at the Oak Service Station on the A45 Birmingham Road at Eastern Green.

An offender went into the manager's office at the premises and threatened staff with a black handgun before taking a quantity of cash and cheques

He then drove off in a Seat car which was later recovered.

The offender is described as a man of medium build, about 5ft 10in tall. He was wearing a dark coloured shell suit and a light blue scarf covering his face and head.

No one was injured in the incident.

Police are appealing for witnesses, particularly any customers at the service station, who may have seen what happened.
