Police are warning motorists
heading in and out of Coventry to be careful of new traffic lights
which are to be switched on at a notorious accident blackspot
tomorrow.
The lights have been installed
at the Toll Bar island to try and improve the traffic flow.
The roundabout on the junction
of the A45 and A46 eastern bypass is jammed with cars everyday and has
been the scene of many accidents.
Changes are being made to the
roundabout to try and improve the safety and to stop the lengthy
queues building up.
Residents have called for a
flyover to be built as they are often in danger when they try and
cross the road.
Police
have warned motorists to take extra care when using the junction for
the next few days while drivers get accustomed to the changes.
