Imaging Experts Win Award

Local scientific imaging experts, Improvision, have won an award for their technology transfer work with the University of Warwick.

The University of Warwick Science Park based company has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence by the Teaching Company Scheme (TCS).

The Teaching Company Scheme (TCS) is a long established UK government initiative encouraging collaboration between UK universities and companies, to promote the transfer of technology and know-how from the academic sector to industry.

US-owned Improvision have been involved with TCS since 1996. They have worked closely with the University of Warwick Computer Science Department to develop new and highly advanced software for deconvolution and 3D rendering.

Andrew Waterfall of Improvision said:

"We are delighted to have received a Certificate of Excellence from the TCS programme. I'm very pleased to report that the research carried out by our TCS Associates and then commercialised by Improvision has been given the highest possible grading by the UK TCS grading panel.

"This fruitful relationship has resulted in our world class products for scientific imaging, Openlab and Volocity."

Further information about these products can be obtained by calling Improvision on 024 7669 2229 or emailing uk@improvision.com.
