[19 JAN 99] SHORTLAND HORNE PRESS RELEASE
Sales Reach £3m At Cryfield Development

Estate agents and surveyors Shortland Horne have just reached £3 million of sales on Bryant Country Homes exclusive Cryfield development.

The Coventry company have sold eight out of 14 homes on phase one of the development in the select Gibbet Hill area of Coventry, with strong interest in several other properties, which range from £335,000 to £405,000.

The show home, a five bedroom Fernhill, has just been sold to a local family and a replacement view home is also under offer.

Phase two, which has views over open farm land, includes six three bedroom bungalows among the 10 properties and they are due to be released from £235,000 subject to planning permission.

Chris Crump, Shortland Horne’s new homes sales manager, said the company was fielding regular new inquiries.

"There has been no slow-down over the holiday period and interest is still very high. There are three different house styles still available on phase one which offer superb, quality accommodation."

The Newton, which has five bedrooms and a double garage, features an attractive balconied area over the front entrance porch and a ground floor family room.

The Vermont has five bedrooms all with built-in wardrobes. There are three bathrooms, two en-suite, while there is a study, family room and laundry on the ground floor.

The Prestbury, also has five bedrooms and three bathrooms on a particularly spacious plot and the double garage is attractively set at right angles to the main house.

All the properties have gas central heating, fitted units to the kitchen and laundry rooms, a double oven, ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. They all have fully alarmed security systems.

David Shortland, of Shortland Horne, said:

"Judging from the amount of interest shown in the first phase of the development, we are expecting phase two to go very well.

"It has lovely views looking out over farmland towards Kenilworth and that is an added attraction. Not many luxury developments include bungalows so we are confident they will prove popular.

"Gibbet Hill is always a popular area and we are delighted with the way the development is progressing. Bryant Country Homes are renowned for their quality and we have had inquiries from across the Midlands.

"Land is at a premium in that part of Coventry but this development is in a prime position with good access to Kenilworth, Warwick University and the city of Coventry."

The development is open daily from 9.30pm to 5.00pm and anyone interested in viewing can contact Shortland Horne’s on-site sales staff on 01203 414625.
