Women's Business Development Agency Opens

The Women’s Business Development Agency is proud to announce the official opening of their newly refurbished, multi-purpose business centre, located on the foleshill Road, Coventry.

The building, formally known as the Women’s Enterprise and Childcare Centre, has recently been improved through refurbishment and decoration, and will now be known as Kudos Business centre. Previously, the Agency’s operations were divided between two sites in Coventry. Now all operations are conducted under one roof at Kudos Business Centre.

The latter part of 1998 was a significant turning point in the Agency’s history. The local authority’s withdrawal of funding signalled staff re-structuring and the introduction of innovative initiatives. The Agency continues to provide the women of Coventry and Warwickshire a fully comprehensive service, including business counselling and advice, training and a business rehearsal scheme.

The building will officially be opened by the Lord Mayor of Coventry, Joan Wright on 2 July 1999. Members of staff and members of the Board of Directors will be on hand to offer information, guidance and advice to members of the public interested in business start up, diversification or expansion.
