Acorn Award For Coventry Conference ManagerWendy Roberts, Accommodation Services Manager at the University of
Warwick, has been named as one of the UK's 30 top leaders aged under 30 in the hospitality
and conference industry.
Her award was announced at lunch at the Dorchester Hotel in
London hosted by the trade magazine Caterer and Hotelkeeper. This year there were over 170
nominations for these prestigious 'Acorn Awards'. This is the second time a member of the
University of Warwick's staff has won such an award (in 1997, Kirsty Woodward, Warwick's
Head of Catering Services won the award).
This year's award winner Wendy Roberts manages a staff of
350 people responsible for the servicing of the 5,135 bedrooms rooms used by over 35,000
conference guests each year.
