fruitful day for all is promised at Ryton Organic Garden’s annual celebration of the
nation’s most favoured fruit, the apple.
Whether you want that strange specimen from your
back garden identified, to taste a whole host of different varieties or to watch a cookery
demonstration that creates a mouthwatering array of appley dishes Ryton will be the place
to be on Sunday 18 October from 10am to 4.30pm.
And there’s more! Learn how to preserve and dry fruit,
tantalise your taste buds with our apple themed menu on offer throughout the day in our
award winning restaurant, test our panel of fruit enthusiasts in a question and answer
session or take a tour of the gardens.
Apple pressing and juice tasting are always a favourite
with the children along with competitions to keep them entertained. The shop will be
brimful of lots of different apples. So, try a few out of the ordinary varieties and
celebrate the richness of our apples!
