(1975-82) before going on to Woodway Park secondary school (1982-89).

We are trying to contact the family of a Mrs Jean Mitchell.
As far as I know she left Girvan in Ayrshire, Scotland
after her eyesight failed. She went to Nuneaton to stay with her daughter.
My mother Mrs MacKay would dearly love to know what

[01 OCT 99] ZULU WARRIOR
I am no longer living in Coventry but in Manchester, so I
can't really look into this query myself.
I and another fellow ex-Coventrian, Matthew Frank, have
been debating as to whether there was once a large statue of a Zulu Warrior in the city. I
remember it vaguely from my childhood - between 15 and 20 years ago.
My mum tells me it was part of the entrance to the old
Coventry Zoo. However, I can find no records of this and everyone I ask questions my
sanity. If you can find any proof of it's existence I would most grateful, as this debate
has been going on for too long.
