[26 SEP 02] COVENTRY BLITZ - GEC

I wondered if I could ask if anyone had any relations who worked on munitions for the GEC in Coventry during the war and who may have transferred to Bradford to supervise or work in their shadow factory which was requisitioned from Grattan in Ingleby Road, Bradford. My mother worked there and I am trying to find anyone who might know anything about this.

From what I understand the Coventry factory suffered a hit and the work was transferred to Bradford after that.

Would anyone have any recollections on what happened or be able to give me any guidelines? The oral history records in Bradford Library make mention of it briefly.

Many thanks
