HOWES LANE SCHOOL |

I have just seen your web page regarding Howes Lane school in
Cheylesmore, Coventry.
I attended there between 1955 and 1959. It was a
fairly good, modern school. The primary school took 5 to 7 year olds.
The junior school took 7 to 11 year olds. The headmistress was Miss
Street during my time there.
All pupils either walked or cycled to school - unaccompanied by parents.
I have no recollection of any child being dropped off by car. |
