A lucky local band will be in line for a tailor-made promo pop video this autumn thanks to the Depot Studios in Coventry.

Managers at the council-run studios are looking for a band or solo artiste to have a tailor-made video shot featuring one of their songs.

Students on a new course will be making the video under the watchful eye of professional video maker Stewart Sewell.

Any band or artist that wants to be considered should send a track on tape with background information about the band, plus a picture to the Depot Studios in Bond Street by Monday 11 September.

The successful group will be told the next week so the students on the pop promo course can get shooting.

Cllr Joan Wright, cabinet member (Cultural and Leisure services) said:

“Videos are s important in the music industry, and hopefully this offer will start a Coventry group on the road to fame and fortune.”
