Stormy Weather Forces Coombe To Close
BY ANTONY HOPKER

Storm damage has forced the closure of Coombe Country Park after a large number of trees were blown over in the recent high winds.

A clear-up operation is under way at the park on the edge of Coventry, and the park has been shut until the end of the week.

The park is expected to be shut until the end of the week. The firework night planned for Saturday has already been postponed.

Head ranger Joe Taylor said the fishery, which has been badly damaged, will be closed until further noticed.

The rest of the park will remain closed while emergency tree work is carried out. The Visitor Centre will remain open between 9.30am and 4pm to give refunds to people who bought tickets for the fireworks.
