Coventry and North Warwickshire Euro MP Christine Oddy will meet leaders of Britain's motor industry when she attends a Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders lunch to be held during next week's Labour Party conference in Blackpool.

The guest speaker at this year's event will be Nick Scheele, Chairman and Chief Executive of Coventry-based Jaguar.

Ms Oddy said:

"The motor industry is of vital importance to jobs and prosperity in my constituency which is home to Jaguar, Peugeot and Land-Rover. I am very pleased, therefore, that so many leading figures in the industry will be visiting the conference next week and look forward to having the opportunity to discuss developments in the industry with them."
