Large Fans Can Keep With The Trend

Barrel-chested Coventry City fans are being given a huge offer to get football shirts that fit them.

The club is offering supporters who cannot fit into standard replica shirts the chance to have one specially made - but only until the end of this month.

The opportunity came after the club's retail manager Paul Coles realised that standard sizes only catered for up to a 55" chest.

He said:

"In the past anyone bigger than that has had to make their own arrangements but because we are manufacturing the kit ourselves we have looked at this.

"The problem with making shirts to measure in this way is that you are talking about one-off productions when there would normally be a massive run.

"We can make these larger shirts if we get an order of around a dozen.

"What we need to do is get anybody who wants to benefit from this service to contact us before the end of the month so that we can take their order and include them in the process.

"The only practical way of doing this is to make all the non-standard sized shirts up in one hit.

"As far as I know this is not a service that any other clubs offer and the only provision is really that supporters who need the larger shirts do come forward before the end of June."

Anyone interested in having one of the shirts should Paul on 024 7623 4000 or visit one of the club's outlets.
