Burrows had a storming season last campaign making 42 first team appearances.

The former West Bromwich Albion man had seen his career disrupted by three moves in 18 months only for injury to set him back when he signed for City from Everton for £1.1 million in March 1995.

He was dogged by hamstring problems in his first full season and never managed to get a good run of games under his belt, but was back at his best last season.
