Coventry Crusaders have signed Spanish student Eduard Girbal.

Girbal recently moved to Coventry from Spain to attend Coventry University. He contacted the Crusaders to try out at a practise game and Coach Dip Donaldson liked what he saw.

The promising Spanish student is a 6'4" guard/forward who can run with the ball and is a good peripheral shooter. He is just as comfortable driving to the basket as shooting from outside, which gives his game a lot of versatility. He is quick and can jump well which helps with rebounding.

Donaldson said:

"I believe Eduard will really be an asset to our team. He has a good all-round game. He is capable of playing a number of positions. Because of his flexibility on court it will be very helpful to have him come in and relieve players needing a break - in any number of positions.

It will probably take a little while for him to settle into our programme and learn our plays and our personnel, but once that happens we will be even stronger than before."
