Sponsorship For Community Development Programme

The Coventry Evening Telegraph will continue to sponsor the Crusaders in the community Development programme, for the second year. The sponsorship deal has been matched £ for £ by Sportsmatch enabling the Women’s teams to benefit from the sponsorship

The telegraph will be the Crusader women’s main sponsor, encouraging 4 teams to enter local and national leagues. There will be U/15’s competing in Central Basketball League, U/17’s competing in National Basketball League and two Ladies teams competing in the Leicestershire League.

Jon Wilkins, Director of Women’s Basketball said

"The most exciting thing is that more young women will be playing basketball this year, we have had to enter two Ladies teams because of the amount of interest in basketball in Coventry."

Training sessions are as follows:

U/17 – Monday, Henley College – 5.30 – 7.15pm

Ladies – Monday, Cardinal Wiseman – 7.30 – 9.30pm

Anyone is welcome, beginners too, cost is £1 per session.

Dip Donaldson, Chairman of the Foundation and Ladies Coach said

"It is great that the Coventry Evening Telegraph have supported us once again and I look forward to the growth and development of Women’s basketball in Coventry."
