The Coventry Crusaders are through to the semi finals of the national trophy, after the 111 - 104 win over Cardiff Clippers the Crusaders have been drawn away to Teesside on 13 December 1998 for a tough semi final clash.

Teesside beat Guildford 104 - 93 with leading scorers Bucci 37, Hopper 21, Jones 18 Ley 15. Teesside are a strong team and have a long history of making the Crusaders work hard to win, 90% of the battles have ended with a Crusader victory.

The Crusaders are now playing on form and geling as a team and with the national trophy in sight they can only get better. The Crusaders have the chance to compete once again in the final of the trophy as they did 3yrs ago, Jimmy Smith was there then and has returned to strengthen the team in the month the Crusaders have to prepare for this important game.

The Crusaders always play well at Teesside and with good coaching guidance from Marcus Garvey and Jimmy Smith the team are ready to bring the cup to Coventry. Dip Donaldson said

"Both teams have alot of depth, experience and talent to win, and it all depends on the team that performs the best on the day as to who wins."
