Coventry Crusaders begin their warm up to the season with a friendly against an American college side tonight.

Dip Donaldson and his team face the Lebanon Valley College at the Coventry Sport Centre, with the tip-off at 7.30pm.

There will be no new faces on show but Donaldson will be using the game to see if the squad needs strengthening.

"We have lost my brother Matt, who has gone back to work in California. The new season starts on 12 September and I will be using games like tonight as a sounding board to see if we need new players. I have been talking to some people in the States.

"I don’t know a lot about the opposition tonight, but they are young and will be keen and strong."
