Tim Munton Set To Leave The Bears Tim
Munton, Warwickshire County Cricket Club's former Captain, has written to the Club
requesting permission to talk to other Counties regarding his future playing career,
although he has a further year of his current playing contract still to run.
The Club has expressed the view that they would be
reluctant to see him go, and had hoped that Tim would form an important part of the
playing squad for next season.
However, Tim feels that because of certain circumstances
over the last two years he requires a fresh challenge and wishes to pursue his last years
of playing with another County Club.
Tim also acknowledges the tremendous opportunities afforded
to him by the Club, and it is with this in mind that he wishes to consider other
opportunities while retaining his fond memories of the Club.
Warwickshire are very sorry that he has made up his mind to
make a move at this stage, and despite reluctance to see him leave Edgbaston, the Club
will not stand in his way if he wishes to hold talks with other County Clubs.
