[12 MAR 99] BEDWORTH UNITED NEWS
Bedworth United v Evesham - Preview
[DR MARTENS MIDLAND DIVISION]

Bedworth United’s manager Billy Hollywood is a confused man. He cannot work out how it is possible his team has won nine out of eleven away matches and yet cannot win at home.

He said:

"There is a significant in performance in home matches and I don’t know why. We pulverised Stafford Rangers, a top side, on their pitch. We won 2-1 and no one would have complained if it had been six.

"But in our last home match we could not raise a smile. The full backs were atrocious, the midfield was not at the races and the front three, who were awesome in the previous away match, did not perform.

"We did not win a 50-50 ball and we were a yard slower. You cannot legislate for that sort of thing. Someone suggested we hire a coach for home games and then drive the players around for a while before delivering them back to our ground to see if that did the trick.

"We are ninth in the league but we have won only one of our last five games. It does not make good reading."

Bedworth have no match tomorrow but are at home to Evesham on Tuesday evening.
