Nuneaton Plan Move To New Ground

Nuneaton Borough Football Club wants to move from its Manor Park Ground to a new stadium to be built nearby.

The Borough has played at Manor Park for 83 years and has several times been on the brink of challenging for a place in the Football League.

But now the non-league club is ready to move forward. It is proposing moving to a purpose-built stadium and leisure centre in nearby Jubilee Fields.

The club's chairman Phil Clayton says the new development would include a creche, a fitness centre, an all-weather pitch and banqueting facilities.

There would also be a Soccer Academy established in conjunction with local schools with professional coaching provided by the club.

The club is seeking the views of residents near to the proposed new facility and hopes to obtain planning consent from the town council within a few weeks.
