Nuneaton v Bath City - Preview
[DR MARTEN'S LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION]

Nuneaton Borough face one of their toughest matches of their high-flying season tomorrow when second placed Bath City are the visitors to the Manor Park ground.

Bath will have gained a boost from the knowledge that mid-table Salisbury Town beat the runaway leaders last Saturday and it will be unprecedented if Borough lose two consecutive matches.

Nuneaton’s manager Brendan Phillips will be cracking the whip to urge his side back to the form which took them nineteen points clear at the top of the league. He knows that a mini slide can quickly snowball into an avalanche of poor results and he cannot afford to let that happen.

Against Salisbury, Borough had most of the action but the visitors’ goalkeeper was in brilliant form and eventually the leaders lost to a solitary ‘sucker punch’ goal.

For tomorrow’s match Borough will have seasoned goalkeeper Richard Williams back in the side and defender Dickie Gardner could be ready after injury.

Phillips said

"Bath are a good side. I have had them watched a few times and had good reports back. If we play our normal game we should come away with something from the match."
