[14 NOV 98] RACING CLUB WARWICK NEWS
Racing Warwick (0) 1
Sutton Coldfield (0) 1
[DR MARTENS MIDLAND DIVISION]

Racing almost fell behind in the second minute when Richard Anstiss dropped a free kick but the goalkeeper recovered well to block Holte's shot.

But Anstiss had an early bath seven minutes later when he rushed out of his penalty area to use his hands to stop a shot and was immediately shown the red card. Midfielder Richard Wade took over in goal.

Sutton did not test the substitute goalkeeper until six minutes before half time when he dived superbly to push away a shot from Craig Martin.

Warwick, clearly unshaken that they were down to ten men, took the lead deservedly in the 49th minute when Brian Agar floated his shot over goalkeeper Mark Hart from 25 yards.

Racing defended grimly until the 75th minute when Royston Richardson equalised.

Racing Club Warwick: Anstiss; Wolverson, Smith, McFarlane, Townsend, Burke, Wade, Sheedy, Ellison, Agar, Clarke. Subs: Higgs, Turpin, Eden.
