Racing Club's New Boys Ready For Solihull

Racing Club Warwick’s new assistant manager Alex Irvine will make his debut at Solihull Borough on Saturday.

And the 34-year-old will not be alone – Racing boss Martin Bewell has signed left sided defender Marcus McDonald from Evesham and he will also line-up for the first time.

Bewell views Irvine’s arrival as key and thinks the former Wisbech Town defender will add some much needed fire.

He said:

"Alex is a great motivator and I have known him for a long time now. He is experienced and he will give us a lot on the field, which will help the younger players and the more experienced ones.

"Both will make their debuts tomorrow and that should give us a lift."

Defender Neil McFarlane, who has missed the last two games, faces a fitness test on his calf but is rated as doubtful.
