[DR MARTEN'S MIDLANDS DIVISION]VS were so poor their manager Martin Sockett apologised to their
fans.
Rugby had beaten Stamford in their last match and went into this one with high hopes of
another victory, but their form was abysmal.
Socket said:
"This performance was totally unacceptable. Too many players are having off-days
at the same time. We can only offer our apologies to the supporters – we fell well
below the standards they expect."
Sutton won with a 63rd minute strike by their captain Royston Richardson.
