VS Rugby have no league game on Saturday but are still hoping to
keep their impressive run of form going.
Their victory over local rivals Racing Warwick they have lost just one in eight games
and won three out of their last four.
They are still at the wrong end of the table, but boss Martin Sockett is confident they
can reach mid-table by the end of the season.
"I worked out the other day that we could reach 41 points but now that could be
nearer 49. There is a tight group above us and we are starting to catch those teams now.
"Bedworth have shown how a good long run can quickly lift you up the table. They
have only lost one in 14 matches and are ninth in the table.
"We were pleased with our win over Racing but that game was not the be all and end
all. If we had lost there still would have been a lot to play for and with nine matches
left nothing is going to be decided until the end of the season."
VS travel to Hinckley in the Midland Floodlit Cup and could have both Simon Williams
and Darren Beckett back from suspension.
One cloud hanging over the camp is the impending suspension of Jamie Lenton. The former
Sky Blues apprentice has been booked 11 times and is due to appear before the county FA.
He could pick up a four-match ban.
