Coventry Exide Bees 54 pts
Wolverhampton 36 pts

The 'Bees' are through to the Knock Out Cup Final. They meet Ipswich after overcoming their old Midland rivals Wolves in the two-leg semi-final.

They were beaten in the first leg 49-41 at Wolverhampton but they hit back brilliantly in the second leg at Brandon Stadium to go through on a 95-85 aggregate score.

Top scorer was Greg Hancock with a 21 points maximum from his seven rides and he was well supported by Andreas Jonsson, who scored 13 points on his debut for the 'Bees'. Coventry used the rider replacement scheme to cover for Brian Andersen, who took no part after being injured in a fall at Belle Vue.
