Trip To Hunt For Conference Trade

Coventry and Warwickshire hopes to grab more than its fair share of the national conference business at one of the country's most lucrative trade shows tomorrow.

Coventry and Warwickshire Promotions will be selling the region hard at Confer, the annual one-day trade exhibition staged by the British Association of Conference Destinations at Kensington Town Hall in London.

Competing against 70 other UK destinations at the show, CWP hope to draw conference organisers and company buyers to the region to hold their conferences, AGMs, team building exercises and meetings.

The area's central location, easy accessibility, range of venues and competitive rates will put it centre-stage.

Confer is one of the most profitable shows to attend because the clients tend to carry firm enquiries. They usually know exactly what they want and how much they have to spend.

Once a new client is signed-up, they are likely to become loyal customers if they have a good experience.

Last year CWP not only collected big name clients like Price Waterhouse Coopers and the Institute of Gas Engineers, but also won £25,000 of business for the region.

Sales Executive, Paul Moreton said:

"Confer’s a must for anyone in the conference industry. Clients come to us with ready-made enquires and we work hard to place their business in our area.

“Once we get them here they tend to come back time and again. Last year we were very successful and we hope to do even better this year."

Anyone wishing to visit the show can find CWP on stand 62.
