[13 MAR 00] HERBERT ART GALLERY & MUSEUM NEWS
Royal Visit Photos Available For Sale

People who want to buy a souvenir photo of the Queen’s visit to Coventry have their chance from today.

A selection of more than 100 different prints is available at the Herbert Art Gallery in Earl Street.

The professionally-taken shots mark the opening of the 'Go To It' exhibition, which was opened by Her Majesty during her trip to Coventry ten days ago.

The display has been put together to mark the 60th anniversary of the Home Front and to pay tribute to the ordinary men and women who endured the Nazi bombing.

Politicians including Prime Minister Tony Blair, Leader of the Opposition William Hague and the Liberal Democrat leader Charles Kennedy joined the royal party and the Archbishop of Canterbury George Carey in a service in Coventry Cathedral to mark the occasion.

The photographs are available to order from the museum’s reception desk. More information on 024 76 832386.
