WARWICKSHIRE - OUR COUNTY 1998-2001
Priority : Housing

Meeting housing needs

The County Council is not itself a provider of housing but recognises the significance of housing for the community. In particular, the County Council recognises that access to affordable, adequate housing in a location which is suitable to sustain the needs of each household is a basic need within the community.

Targets:

  • We will work with district councils, housing associations and other agencies to identify how the County Council can best contribute to meeting housing needs.

  • We will review the Council’s landholdings to identify sites which could, (on an economic basis), be released for affordable housing.
