EVENT TALK : A Brain Surgeon Goes to War

Neurosurgeon and Territorial Army officer Peter Stanworth will give an illustrated talk on his tours of duty with the Royal Army Medical Core in Afghanistan and Iraq.

EVENT Avon Dassett Village Fete
DATE Saturday 2 August 2008, 2pm
Avon Dassett is a picturesque village between Banbury and Leamington Spa. For a small village, it has a phenomenal-size fete! Running for over 20 years, the fete is a great day out for young and old and the fun continues into the night with live band and pig roast.
Attractions include traditional crafts and stalls, all sorts of animals - some more unusual than others - face painting, bouncy castle, archery, the famous 'Dasset Mare', Dog Show and Fairground rides.
Refreshments include wonderful home made cakes in our tea tent, a licensed bar and Napton's famous Buffalo burgers
Fete : from 2pm. Children's PJ Party : 6pm. Evening event : 8pm.
