Rape Attempt In
Coventry City Centre
Police in Coventry are appealing for
information following the attempted rape of a young woman in the
early hours of last Saturday.
The 20 year old Radford woman was
walking past the Lady Herbert Gardens in Chauntry Place around
2.40am when she was dragged into the gardens by a man who tried to
rape her.
She managed to struggle free and
ran off.
The man is described as black, aged
in his mid to late 20s, of medium build and wearing a denim jacket
and jeans.
Police say the area around the
gardens is well lit and someone may have seen these two people or
heard screams coming from the gardens.
