[18 NOV 01] CALLING FROM COUNTY TIPPERARY

Hi to all in our good old home town.

I left Coventry in 1979 for Ireland, now living in County Tipperary. During my time in Coventry I worked all over including several years (between 1969 and 1979) at the Triumph factory.

We lived in 37 Oldfield Road, Chapelfields for approximately 10 years before retiring to Ireland where I still live today.

My wife Lena Burke worked at the University of Warwick during these years in the linen room, again I would like to hear from anyone who may have known Lena.

[18 NOV 01] EX-FIREFIGHTER

My name is George Chadwick and I served at Nuneaton, Coleshill and Sutton Coldfield fire stations from January 1958 to March 1969.

I am deeply interested in researching an old Merryweather hand operated turntable ladder, that was stationed at Nuneaton from January 1958. A photograph would be pretty good, but any information would be appreciated.

Could you please help. This information would help another ex-firefighter, who unfortunately is very ill.

My wife would love to contact Maureen Williams, who lived in Foleshill and emigrated to Australia with her mother and sister between 1968 and 1970.

We believe she joined her brother, who had a fire eating act at the time and lived in Perth.

[10 NOV 01] OLD CLOCK

I'm trying to find out some information about an old grandfather or grandmother 'prayer' clock that I bought the other day.

The name on the face says 'Ediv Norton Warwick' - it has angels in each corner and a cross.

Do you know this clock maker or how I can get some information about him and his clocks?
