Evatt Can Fight AgainCoventry featherweight Richard Evatt can fight again after the
British Boxing Board Of Control lifted a suspension on his licence.
Evatt had to stop fighting in earlier this year when a
routine brain scan showed irregularities. But a hearing at the sport’s governing body
lifted the ban after Welsh fighter Barry Jones, who had suffered a similar fate, was
allowed to re-start his career.
Evatt, who had recorded 13 straight wins before the interruption, could be back in the
ring in the New Year.
